Theristia is unusual for her mother. Her siblings were all a light, cream brown rather than the dark brown she inherited. Other than that, however, she is the same, bearing the same eyes and the same temperament. Her father was a Maine coon, darker in color, so that is where she is probably inherited her darker fur, with it's length. She bears the gold loop of leadership with pride, and is often found wearing a bird skull with feathers around her neck as well.
Her name is very unusual for the culture of the Gods, but fits in with her personality well. Theristia is the feminine rendition of Theristis, meaning "Reaper" in Greek.

EXTRA:
Theristia is an unusual shecat. She stands out among her peers in the sense that she is adept at every skill, but she isn't an expert at any one of them. She's an ambivert, preferring to only speak out when around her family, but that doesn't mean she'll let anyone get away with anything. She's ambitious, annoyed constantly, has anger issues and lashes out at everyone who tries to get close to her, but she is loyal to a fault when it comes to her group, and has proven herself to be a surprisingly good leader. She's devoted to Oros, the god of death and Chaos, and follows his teachings about the predators and beasts of chaos to the letter, making her able to take down animals many sizes larger than her with no problem, but she hesitates to take action sometimes, which causes her to get into quite a few sticky situations. Her subordinates call her the "aftí lýkos", the she-wolf, behind her back, and know that if she goes prowling around with her pale wolf's tail wrapped around her shoulders, that either she's about to speak of lead a war rally. Either way, Theristia demands attention every time she's in the crowd.
Theristia is in full control of her group, unlike the first leader of the Vounó. She knows everyone, and everything that happens within the four corners of her mountain. She has unique ideas and fits them in well with her system to do what's best for everyone at all times. Theristia commands respect from her members. And it's not like she just commands it because she's the leader, no. It's because she's fought hard for her position and title, and she expects everyone to do so. Life isn't free, especially when times are tough, and Theristia has proven to be trustworthy in risky situations coming from both the sea and Oros, earning her boundless respect taken from others. Most of the time, Theristia keeps her cool very well. You could scare the pelt off her, or make her mad enough to spontaneously combust, and most of the time, she wouldn't show it. However, there are some times she slips up, showing her cats raging emotion, and reminding them how young she really is. She's known to hold her poker face in important situations, though.
Theristia is smart. Like crazy smart. And her past only made her smarter. In her world, those who aren't smart die, and she had to sober up quickly and learn that. That's made her a force to be reckoned with when it comes to trying to deceive or outsmart her. Most ploys never work, and she'd like to keep it that way. Theristia is passionate about everything she does, and while this often helps, it also sometimes drags her into sticky situations, and she often takes others down the rabbit hole with her. She is also extremely independent. She will not take help until she absolutely needs it. And while this does help the group by keeping stress off the members, Often it keeps her cooped up in her den with issues, and it's made her physically sick from stress several times. For better or for worse, she tends to get attached quickly. She hates this about herself, but it also established meaningful bonds with her cats. Though It's safe to say if you get close to Theristia, you have a powerful ally, that's for sure. This also weakens her when something bad happens to someone she's attached to, however, and if they leave or die she gets depressed quickly. Theristia is quick with words and wit, and tends to back others into a verbal corner relatively quickly and easily. It's a defense mechanism she developed when her father turned abusive, and she's both helped and hurt herself with it since.
Theristia is really, really sarcastic. She hates it when others try to read her mind or change her words, and almost every argument consists of some sarcastic verbal abuse from her. She also, as part of her father's less-than-acceptable raising, inherited sadistic ways. Often, she enjoys taking her fear and anger out on victims and rebels, reenacting all the horrible things her
father did to her as a kit. Theristia, to a fault. is very irritable. Probably because of the constant stress she has, and probably because she just contains a lot of anger and has anger problems. Most likely both. She also lives up to the "Reaper" meaning of her name. She knows so many ways to kill another cat it's freaky how she's managed to spare some. Honestly though, this and anger issues aren't a n pretty mix. For anyone really. Another fault is that Theristia cusses like a sailor. It's a form of coping and intimidation, neither is good, but that's why she does it.

EXTRA:
Theristia has been in the Vounó since birth. Her mother, Saba, was one of the best hunters in the Fyli, and attracted a lof of attention from all of the toms in the group. Paris, her father, was the representative of the Vounó Warriors, a part of the ancient council dedicated to solving issues within and between the Fyli. Saba had refused Paris for a long time, playing sly for a while before giving in, and having a single litter with him.
There were three kits. Kida, Florence, and Theristia. Theristia, Thea for short, was the only female kit, and the oldest of the litter, gaining her mother's dark fur and her father's brilliant yellow eyes. The other two were sandy with blue eyes, an odd combo that made the brother irresistible to those around them. Despite this, they were closest with their older sister, keeping tabs on her and making it seem like she was the youngest, often getting in the faces of others when they so much as breathed in her direction.
For most of her life, she was alright. She was raised by a loving mother and doting brothers, not often seeing much of Paris. By the time the kits were initiates, at this point meeting Skiazo, Paris had taken hold of the leadership position.
At this point, things began to go downhill. Paris became a cruel leader, sending kits too young on Wolf Hunts and sending them out too often, getting several of them killed in the process. He attacked Nisi patrols mercilessly, driving a deep rift between the groups. The Vounó faltered under his dictatorship, more cats leaving and getting thrown out than in the history of the Fyli.
The cats begged the gods for an answer, and Oros came, bearing the news in a prophecy. There will be a kin usurper, one that bears fur of midnight and eyes of the sun.
Paris, knowing only Thea possessing anything close to that with the blood of him running through her, tried to kill her. He gouged her eye out with his claws, leaving deep marks through her face, before shoving her into his Inventor's forge, burning the same side severely before leaving her for dead behind the camp.
She cried for hours, calling for Skiazo and her brothers endlessly. But no one came. Paris told the camp that she had been killed by wolves when they were out, saving him in the process. Skiazo and her brothers never believed him, but the rest of the camp did, and it left the three by themselves to search for her.
She was passed out when Florence found her still body, blood loss and shock had brought her to nearly face the Gods, but she was brought back to the Farmako in the nick of time.
Thea never saw from her bad eye again, the sunlight colored orb forever snuffed out. She was listless for moons after, drawing away from Florence and Kida slowly, but Skiazo wouldn't let her leave. He stuck by her without fail, his little-known kindness sticking out whenever she would refuse to eat or drink. He'd force her to, keeping her alive as she slowly got better.
Eventually, she was moving about again. Still friendly with her brothers, but they never quite treated her the same again. They started treating her as if she was breakable, and fragile. The only one who didn't was Skiazo, so she developed a sort of reliance on the tom, going through her last bit of Initiate life with him.
When he lost his mother and sister, she stayed with him, sticking close by and staying with him in comfort. She tried everything, doing her best for him, but she still felt indebted to him. Over the moons, she relied heavier on him, having him help her as she set up a plan to usurp Paris.
Eventually, she got herself elected into the Lykos position, right under her father. He didn't like this at all--let alone the fact that she survived in the first place--but he couldn't overrule every cat in the Fyli. The gods would punish him themselves if he upset the order that bad, so he dealt with it.
The thing with Thea being who she is, however, means that she was merciless, stealing support out from under his nose and, with Skiazo's help, making the Fyli rely on her rather than Paris.
This made Thea pay the ultimate price. Saba was killed by Paris, murdered by throwing her down a cliff, into a pack of wolves. Thea found her mother's body, but instead of deterring her, her newfound grief drove her on.
Eventually, she lured Paris out, under the guise that some Nisi warriors were causing trouble on the border. Making sure to bring only Florence and Skiazo with them, she used the fact that they knew one another to murder Paris, tearing his throat out and leaving him to the vultures.
With the action, she assumed the position of leader, and has led the Vounó ever since, without opposition.
